Brittany’s eyes closed at the contact of Santana’s hands against her skin, hiccuping sobs still present under the weight of the situation. Her eyes shot open at the things Santana had just said and she searched her brain for the right thing to say, “You want to be with me?” She asked, her eyes narrowed with confusion, Brittany used her forefinger and thumb to hook Santana’s chin, lifting her head til’ their eyes met. Brittany searched through Santana’s eyes, for anything, something, before she took a deep breath and shook her head. Brittany stood up and slipped on her shoes, “I can’t, not like this, I’m sorry,” Brittany picked up her phone and dialed the number of the taxi company, giving Santana’s address. “I need to go to the LAX airport please” She said to the operator. “15 minutes, thank you” Brittany looked at Santana and bit her lip.Brittany pulled Santana in to a hug, holding the smaller girl close to her body, she pulled away only slightly and tilted her head to meet Santana’s eyes, “I can’t with you, not til’ I break things off with him. I owe him that much after being with him for so long. I can’t end it over the phone. I have to do it in person.” She explained biting her lip. She lifted a hand and wiped Santana’s tears, leaning in and leaving a lingering kiss on the wetness of the girl’s tan cheeks. Brittany closed her eyes and swallowed hard, leaning her forehead against Santana’s.
